Copra is the dried meat or kernel of mature coconuts, used as the
primary raw material for coconut oil production. It is produced by
extracting the white coconut meat from mature coconuts and drying
it either under the sun (sun-dried copra) or through smoke-drying
methods.
Copra is a key agricultural export product, widely used in the food,
animal feed, cosmetic, and pharmaceutical industries. Indonesia is
one of the world’s leading producers and exporters of copra.
